Strategic orientation
The main document detailing the key business guidelines, strategies and goals of the Istrabenz Holding Company is the Strategic Business Plan. 
 
Management Board has drafted a new Strategic Business Plan of the Holding Company and the Istrabenz Group for 2007–2011. Said plan was approved on 27 October 2006 by the Supervisory Board of the Company.
 
A summary of the document has been presented to the public by the Management Board and is also available on the website of the Ljubljana Stock Exchange.
 
In this document, the Management Board defines:
·        the mission, vision and values of the Istrabenz Holding Company;
·        the guidelines of the investment policy;
·        the guidelines of the policy for managing the Holding Company and subsidiaries of the  Istrabenz Group;
·        the strategic goals of the Istrabenz Holding Company in the 2007-2011 period; and
·        investments in subsidiaries during the 2007–2011 period.
 
 
Strategic goals of the Istrabenz Holding Company and the Istrabenz Group

The basic goal of the Istrabenz Holding Company is to pursue the interests of its shareholders through long-term growth in assets and by providing for long-term investment growth.
 
The key goals of the Istrabenz Holding Company in the forthcoming business period are:
 
·        stable growth of the asset value of the Company;
·        achievement of target growth in dividend payment; and
·        a balanced financing structure.
 
We will continue to exploit to the fullest the advantages of synergies and by efficient management improve the performance of the subsidiaries and the Group.
 
The Strategic Business Plan of the Holding Company and the Istrabenz Group is aimed at attaining the leading position in the region in the selected strategic areas. By implementing its key goals, the Istrabenz Holding Company will in the following five years become one of the most important and respected investors in the target capital markets of Central and South-Eastern Europe.
