In the jubilee year, featuring the 60th anniversary of Istrabenz, we decided to extend our commitment even further to investing in youth. Therefore, this year, we will carry out a special project, Istrabenz Class.
We invited all of the primary schools in Slovenian Istria to participate. We will select 30 ninth-graders and grant them a four-year scholarship for secondary school in the 2009–2013 period.
The scholarship candidates are children from the ninth grade of primary school. The scholarship is intended for talented children who would have difficulty affording the schooling of their choice.
The main criteria for selecting the scholarship grantees are their potential and talent, school grades, special rewards and recognitions they received for taking part in extra-curricular activities, sports achievements, and social status. |
