Ecology

The environmental strategies of companies within the Istrabenz Group have been integrated into the companies' business strategies. The companies fully implement the environment-related regulations, often even before they become compulsory and often above the required standards.

All companies are committed to the supervision of environmental impacts, the reduction of these impacts, compliance with environmental regulations, the establishment of own environmental management standards and co-operation with publics within and outside the company.

Most companies from the Energy and Tourism Business Area comply with their own standards applying to environmental management.

The companies engaged in the gas business and Instalacija have established the ISO 14001 environmental management system.

Within the food industry we constantly improve production and service activities to limit the consumption of energy sources and water as well as to reduce waste.

In the Tourism Business Area, waste management is subject to quality standards, while in catering the HACCP standard is being implemented.

As regards office work, individual companies often increasingly opt for measures aimed at energy and water saving, the separate collection of waste paper, the use of unbleached paper etc. The disposal of used computer equipment is systematically provided for the entire Group by the company Actual IT.

The Group’s companies are more and more seeking business opportunities in environmentally-friendly products and services which enable buyers to make an environmentally-conscious choice.

The management of ecology issues is detailed every year in the Sustainable Corporate Development Report, which is included in the Annual Report.
